Outright
Category: Backend
Outright.com provides a simple online bookkeeping application. The app is designed for very small businesses - entrepreneurs, self employed folks, people who have to file a Schedule C. We were hired by Outright to coach and deliver features along with their in house team.
Scrum Alliance
Category: Support, Backend
Gaslight became the lead development team for the Scrum Alliance's website in January, 2011. This Ruby on Rails application manages the certification process; gives prospective members a way to find courses and trainers; and lets Certified Scrum Professionals, Certified Scrum Coaches and Certified Scrum Trainers submit articles related to Scrum and expand the body of Scrum knowledge. Having made numerous improvements to the back-end, we started to redesign the front-end with a more modern look in early 2012.
Top Gun Sales Performance
Category: Internal Productivity
When TopGun Sales Performance wanted to build an internal application to improve their call efficiency, we were brought in to help. A developer from Gaslight worked with the in-house staff to create a tool that exactly matched their workflow. When an early alpha release was used for the first time for a full day by a single operator, his calls nearly doubled; the system “just got out of my way and let me focus” on the work.
Cooleaf
Category: Full-site build-out
Cooleaf came to us with an html prototype and design - they brought us in to build out the functionality. We created a Ruby on Rails app for them that covered everything they wanted while also redesigning the initial site to be more aesthetically pleasing.
Big Cartel
Category: Plug-in integration
The Indie Labs team came to us to implement an open source plugin we had helped build, so they could dynamically launch a full replica staging stack for testing their sites.
Designs Vault
Category: Full-site build-out
Ignacio, a web-designer we've worked with, came to us with an idea and a PSD design for the web design marketplace. We took his feature list and PSD and built out all the features he wanted, with Ruby on Rails and jQuery.
